This listing is for a sterling silver spiral nosering for a single piercing, to make it look like a double ring.
The spiral is gently stretched apart so that you can feed it through the piercing and round again, forming two rings with the ends against your nose, inside and out. It is soft enough to manipulate and shape to sit comfortably. I handmake these and the sterling silver wire is 0.8mm diameter - this is fairly thin and although I do file the ends smooth, if the ring is too tight, it can dig into your skin. I have very few complaints about this, but if you find it's too small, you can also gently stretch the ring and manipulate it a little bit to ensure it fits comfortably.
Please ensure you select which piercing you have - left or right and to select the appropriate diameter of the ring to suit you. Diameter is measured from your piercing to the edge of your nose and if you want it tight or loose, just select the size you need.
To remove, reverse the process to insert and if you need to reshape the nosering, you can use a pen or round object which has the diameter you require. The silver wire is fairly soft and can be manipulated gently as it has not been work-hardened as I would with other types of jewellery/rings. It should not snap and will only do this if it's been stressed by bending it too many times - much like a paperclip will eventually snap if you play with it too much! If it does break when you put it in for the first time, this is very unusual, so please do get in touch with me rather than just be disappointed with your purchase.
All sterling silver will tarnish (never rust) and in some instances, this could be accelerated due to contact with makeup or perfumes or even if your skin is acidic. You can polish the piece with a polishing cloth or use silver dip if it tarnishes (goes black or brown) - just make sure you wash it with a gentle soap before you reinsert it, to remove any of the chemicals. If it's looking crusty, then it's probably time to remove or clean the piercing and ring.
