About JackFruit:
We are JackFruit- a Bristol based clothing line that is directly inspired by this wonderful city we call home.
Bristol is a place where country meets city. Where urban hipster meets rural hippy and where the Caribbean beach has been merged with our multi-coloured, paint spattered streets, giving rise to that unique beat that pounds through our pavements. Bristol is a bubbling hot pot of culture and style.
JackFruit was born as a response to these fusions. We wanted to create clothes that were suitable both for rolling around in a festival field, as well as strolling down a city street. We wanted to take the more traditional hippy items and inject both a tropical and an urban streak into their seams.
And so we headed to a small town in Northern India, where we were lucky enough to collaborate with Hannuman and his team in their small, independent clothing factory. We spent time perfecting our designs with the help of their highly skilled tailors, until we felt that JackFruit Clothing’s first range had been manifested.
When trading with this wonderful team it was a primary concern of ours to make sure all parties were happy with the exchange. We now want to do the same. Hence we have priced our products fairly, so that these funky, fresh items are easily affordable.
For us here at JackFruit, style is all about spreading joy through your clothes – looking good to feel good, to spread the good vibes further. For this reason we wanted to use this fashion endeavour to facilitate as many smiles as possible, to our customers and beyond. We have therefore decided to donate £1 of every sale to the The One Love Project in Pushkar, a charity helping the the poorest people in the community where we source our items.
