There are typical inclusions within the stone, indicative of an Emerald which can be seen in the photos. The Emerald is estimated to weigh 0.73ct and is a nicely sized stone with good proportions. This is a great style of ring as the stone sits in a little tray (called an under bezel) which means it's nice and safe, you certainly won't lose it. I would however stress that Emeralds are a fairly brittle stone by nature, and as such they should be worn with care. If you're looking for something that will survive the everyday bustle of the underground, I'd recommend a Diamond (followed closely by Sapphire & Ruby). Having said that, for light handed careful people this will be fine.

Information about this metal type:
950 Palladium // A newcomer to the jewellery market in terms of popular metals, Palladium has found itself priced out of other markets as the price is fairly comparable to 14ct Gold. It is also a hard wearing material, very pure (95%) and despite not feeling quite the same as Platinum, it does represent good value against it. Palladium comes from the Platinum group of metals. It is 95% (950/1000 parts pure like Platinum) and will retain this beautiful white colour forever. The polish may fade, but it will never discolour, unlike some grades of White gold that are rhodium plated, there is no plating on this metal - no maintenance!
