PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE WHOLE LISTING BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE. I KNOW IT'S A BIT LONG BUT THERE'S SOME IMPORTANT IMFORMATION THERE :)
This nice little labret is hand casted in sterling silver by Uppsala Fingjuteri after an original made my be. When I get it back from the caster I clean it up and add a little piece of thread that goes in the bioflex post. Finally I give it it's finish, eiter black (oxidized) gray (oxidized then brushed) or silver (lightly brushed)
The bioflex post comes in 18g (1mm, only 6mm and 7mm length) 16g (1.2mm) or 14g (1.6mm) and in a number of different lengths. The 2nd and 3rd picture shows the jewlery piece with a 6mm 16g bioflex post.
All my items are handmade and I’ve done my best to photograph them from every angle and include all the measurements but if you have any questions or would like some more photographs don’t hesitate to ask.
I pack my jewellery securely in my own customized boxes or envelopes, ready to present as a gift!
This item is sent as a normal letter to keep postage cost down. That means no tracking number and that I can't guarante it reaching you. There is a option to upgrade to insured, traceable postage at the check out.
A little note on oxidized jewelery
The oxidized layer on the silver piece will not last forever. I’m experimenting with different ways to make the oxide stay on for as long as possible, but wear and tear will eventually reveal the silver underneath on the elevated parts while the oxide will stay in the submerged parts. I think this gives a nice distressed look, a bit like a worn leather jacket.
Also, just like some peoples skin makes silver go black other peoples skin makes the oxide disappear faster than normal.
If you’re one of these people or you just prefer to have your jewelry black you can either go to a local goldsmith to get it re-oxidized, if you live in Malmö or Copenhagen you can come to me and I will do it for free. I also sell small 3ml jars of LOS here https://www.etsy.com/se-en/listing/583523404/liver-of-sulphur-sulfur-los-oxide-3ml?ref=shop_home_active_1 or you can find it in several internet shops.
It’s a very easy process, you just heat up some water, add the jewelry and a few drops of LOS and leave in for between 30 sec. and 2 min. (If you leave it in for longer the layer of oxide can be too thick and peel off) Then you take the jewelry out and rinse it under cold water, leave it to dry and rub it with some fat to give it shine and make the result last a bit longer. I use Renaissance Wax (https://www.kernowcraft.com/products/silversmithing-and-tools/sanding-polishing-supplies/item/renaissance-wax-c177) but if you don’t feel like making the investment you could try with coconut oil, Vaseline or some other kind of fat instead.
I USE STERLING SILVER, THAT CERTIFY AS NICKEL FREE UNDER THE EU NICKEL DIRECTIVE, IN MY JEWLERY.
THE PIERCING PIECES ARE INTENDED FOR HEALED PIERCINGS.
SIZES ARE IN MM AND AWG.
